Starting charge of taxis is approximately 4.50 TL and then 2.50 TL per kilometer. As the visitors of this small city also want to see the other cities nearby, renting a car is a common option.

Dubrovnik, a nearby city that is famous with spectacular beaches, is visited by most of the tourists who rent a car in Tivat. As the distance between the airport and city center is very close, transportation takes short time. At the airport, there is no public transportation system, which can take you to the city center.
