Today the area is famous for it's "Green Line", a cultural tourism route where tourists can visit various historical farms and see the farmers at work. The train station in Arapoti is also used as a cultural center now. Thanks to the farms that were developed and improved with Dutch farming equipment and machinery, the areas is an important area for soybean, wheat, corn, poultry and beef production for Brazil, providing produce and meat and dairy products to the whole country.
Arapoti Airport, located 6 km away from the town center, runs regular charted flights. There are also buses running from the airport to various cities in the region.
