About Shiraz
Shiraz, known as 'the city of roses and poets', is known as the administrative center of the Persian region of Iran. The city, which has witnessed many important cultural and artistic activities throughout the centuries, is also known with Shiraz wine. Taxi is the most preferred means of transportation to get to the center of Shiraz from Shahid Dastghaib International Airport. However, if you need a comfortable means of transportation during your travel, you can rent a car at the airport. Bus and metro alternatives are available for passengers who want to keep their transportation costs at the lowest level. However, the stops of both bus and metro are at the airport exit and are not recommended for travellers with large or heavy luggage.
Car Rental
Europcar company is offering car rental service at the airport. You can reach the city center in 15 minutes with the car you rent driving northwest on Modarres Boulevard.
Taxi
You can always find a taxi at the airport. Since the oil prices are low in Iran, taxis are among the most preferred means of transportation. However, be careful about the fares and ask the driver to turn on the taximeter. If necessary, you can bargain with the driver. Under normal traffic conditions, it is possible to reach the city center in 15 minutes by taxi.
Bus
If you want to keep your transportation costs low and your luggage is not heavy, you can reach Shiraz city center in half an hour by getting on a bus from the stop one kilometer away from the airport.
Metro
Metro stop is located at a short walking distance at the airport exit. You can get to the city center in just 15 minutes.
